 Safety Fencing

Safety is central to the Virtual Smart Factory concept. Guarding and safety sensors will be integrated into the control system to allow for safety zones of operation and allow safe operation. This will include a safety gates, safety monitoring devices, and safe torque monitoring.

Our gantry system is enclosed by 2.4m high safety fencing, designed to provide maximum protection during operation. The fencing connects to a fixed rear wall, with a large, collapsible safety gate at the front for easy access, and a side gate for maintenance purposes. Both gates are interlocked with safety switches and must be closed for full-speed operation. If the gates are open, the system automatically defaults to a slower axis speed (SIL CAT2) to ensure safety. When using the mobile handwheel control unit, movements will also be limited to slow speeds.

For 3D Concrete Printing, the fencing uses steel mesh panels for durability, and safety switches are installed on the gates. If milling tools are being used, we offer optional clear plastic panels to protect operators from broken tools. These panels are available upon request and quoted separately, as they are not part of the standard safety package.

Final gate layout and door locations will be confirmed with the customer before installation to meet specific requirements.
